Oxidation

Oxidation occurs when the kiln atmosphere contains plenty of oxygen during firing. Electric kilns naturally create oxidation conditions. This atmosphere produces clean, bright, and predictable glaze colors—especially blues, greens, and whites. Oxidation firing is ideal for functional pottery and consistent ceramic glaze results.
