Blue Green Liquid Underglaze is a deep teal that is soft and light at cone 05, becomes a much deeper blue green and fluxes into a soft glaze-like surface at cone 6, and maintains that deeper tone with a soft sheen at cone 10. Though the underglaze does become glaze-like, a clear gloss glaze can give Blue Green an impeccably smooth surface with good color.
A Zinc-Free Clear is recommended for use with underglazes to reduce the incidence of color shift. Most underglazes, stains, and coloring oxides will show their best color with Zinc-Free Clear.
