An essential part of working on the slab roller. It provides a tough, durable, cleanable surface for the workspace. More importantly, canvas provides the top and bottom protective ‘sandwich’ layers to keep your clay from getting torn as you draw it through the rollers. The surface of the canvas also interacts with the knurled rollers for good ‘grip’ and traction. Our canvas comes from North Star at a heavier grade and weight than you’ll find at most fabric stores.
