Dark Green Velvet Underglaze is a rich green color that is bright and saturated at cone 05, darkens to a forest green at cone 5, and becomes slightly darker at cone 10. A clear glaze deepens the color of the underglaze significantly at any temperature.
For Dark Green Velvet Underglaze, we recommend using HF-9 Zinc Free Clear. If HF-10 Clear is used, color may shift.
HF-9 Zinc-Free Clear is recommended for use with underglazes to reduce the incidence of color shift. Most underglazes, stains, and coloring oxides will show their best color with Zinc-Free Clear.
