Before Returning Ceramic Supplies
Please contact us by phone or email before sending a product back. We’ll help determine the best next step and make sure your return is handled quickly.

Ceramic Supply Return Eligibility
We gladly accept returns on most unused items within 60 days of purchase when accompanied by a receipt. Items must be:
- Unused
- Unopened
- In original, saleable condition
- Returned with proof of purchase
Some raw materials and specialty items are excluded due to safety, handling, or quality-control limitations. We’ll let you know if your item falls into one of these categories.
Clay Returns Policy
Clay has unique handling and storage considerations. For this reason:
- Clay must be in its original bag or box
- Bags must be unopened and not exposed to moisture
- We cannot accept returns, exchanges, or credit for clay over 3 months old
Restocking Fees for Returned Items
Some returns may be subject to a 20% restocking fee, depending on the product and its packaging requirements.
This fee helps cover the cost of inspection, processing, and repackaging so products remain safe and usable for other customers.
Items Not Eligible for Return
We cannot accept returns on:
- Used items
- Items damaged due to use
- Raw materials that cannot be resold once opened
- Products marked as non-returnable at time of purchase
- Clay older than 3 months

Damaged or Lost Shipments
All shipments leave Georgies in good condition. When your order arrives, please inspect all boxes or parcels for obvious damage before signing the delivery receipt. Open the boxes, too, to check for concealed damage. If you find damage, note it on the receipt and get the driver’s signature to verify the damage. Save the damaged items or packing materials for possible inspection by UPS or the freight company. Contact Georgies as soon as possible to report the damage. We will be happy to work with you to recover credits for damaged merchandise, but the first responsibility in getting that credit is YOURS.
Manufacturer Warranties for Equipment & Tools
Some equipment and tools are covered directly by the manufacturer, including:
- Electric kilns
- Pottery wheels
- Major studio equipment
- Certain tools, machines, or specialty items
We strongly recommend registering your product with the manufacturer immediately after purchase to ensure warranty coverage.

Georgies Warranty Statement
For products we manufacture, the following applies:
Georgies’ obligation is limited to replacing any quantity of product that is proven defective using standard and accepted testing methods for the ceramics industry.
Georgies is not liable for injury, loss, or damage—direct or consequential—resulting from the use or inability to use any product.
Because results in ceramics can vary based on firing, clay body, application, and countless other variables, we always encourage customers to test materials first to confirm they meet your needs.

How long do refunds take?
They can take anywhere from 3-7 business days (from the credit card company). Checks can take anywhere from 1-2 weeks.
How do I request a refund?

What is your return policy?
We will gladly accept items for return that HAVE NOT BEEN OPENED OR USED within 60 days of purchase with your proof of purchase Some items are excluded, including many raw material items & kiln shelves. No refunds, exchanges, or credit given for clay that is over 3 months old. Used or damaged items are not accepted for return, exchange, or credit. Returns may be subject to a restocking charge. All returns must have proof of purchase (paper receipt or history in our system by phone number)
Are glaze or clay purchases returnable?
All unopened glaze and clay has a 60 day return policy.
Can I return equipment?
Equipment can be returned on a case by case scenario with a restock fee.
Can I return kiln shelves?
Kiln shelves are not returnable. Please examine them for any defects BEFORE loading into your vehicle. Report defects immediately. Should a manufacturing defect appear after usage, you must report it within 60 days with proof of purchase. Replacement eligibility will be determined on a case-by-case basis. We do not offer exchanges if you purchased the wrong size. What if my order arrives damaged?
It unfortunately is a reality that happens. Please take pictures & contact us within 10 days of receiving the product – call 503-283-1353 or e-mail orders@georgies.com. We will need and ask for pictures to file a claim. Please have your name, phone number and invoice number ready so that we can quickly get this taken care of and get a replacement out for you.
What if I received the wrong item?
